Milt Shirley Landscape
Oil on Canvas
This painting was brought to us with damage related to mold and mold removal.
A mold removal solution was sprayed and scrubbed in an attempt to stop the growth and spread of the mold. The spray was successful, though paint was oxidized and skinned in some areas as a result of the process.
Unrelated to the mold, the painting had old, aesthetically disruptive repair work done prior that the owner wanted remedied, a dirty liner and the frame had some wear from age and handling. We were tasked with ensuring the mold was stagnant, revitalizing the oxidation, filling the areas of skinned paint, and doing something about the old repair.
